A journey through the Marches, unhurried, with wonders to be seen.
(Guido Piovene)
When you talk about wine you also must always talk about the terroir, in our case about the beautiful region of Le Marche which plays host to our wine cellar.
Set in an intermediate position between the sea and the hilly interior, we are literally surrounded by natural beauty and centuries old small villages that have kept their charm to the present day.
Please call in at our cellar amongst the splendour of Le Marche with many towns waiting for your visit.
Montefiore
We chose the tower of Montefiore as our logo and identity. It is the symbol of the ancient castle of Montefiore located a few metres from our cellar.
At the end of the thirteenth century the people of Recanati built the fort as a lookout and as a defence against their arch enemy, the town of Osimo. Severely damaged during the Second World War, the castle has been recently restored so you can now admire it in all its beauty.

Montefano
It’s such a small step from Montefiore to Montefano!
A medieval town, the historical and urban centre fits and blends in with the surrounding countryside. The typical brick buildings are in total harmony with the hills planted with wheat, sunflowers and vineyards. It is the birthplace of Marcello II, who became pope during the mid-sixteenth century, and of the celebrity photographer Arturo Ghergo. The town centre is animated by the many performances given in the beautiful municipal theatre dating back to the late nineteenth century and the many initiatives organised by the town council and by the citizens themselves. A must see are the Palio of the Contrade (districts) and Montefano ‘900, which are held every year in July.

Recanati
Recanati, birthplace of Giacomo Leopardi and the tenor Beniamino Gigli, hosts the World Centre of Poetry and Culture as well as numerous museums and interesting churches. In the surrounding Recanati hills you will find many of our grapes and we wanted to pay homage to this town by including on the labels of two of our wines, the Poggio Infinito Bianco and the Poggio Infinito Rosso, some of the first verses of the famous Leopardi poem L’Infinito:
Always dear to me was this solitary hill,
and this hedge, which, from so many parts
of the far horizon, the sight excludes. […]

Montecassiano
A few kilometres away in the direction of Macerata there is a small town that, with twenty other villages of Le Marche, has been awarded the Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club. A medieval town wall surrounds the characteristic streets, alleys and corners, as well as its splendid churches and buildings. Before leaving you must take look over the walls to enjoy the view of the surrounding hills.

The Conero Riviera
Our grapes owe much to this hilly area which is immediately behind the coast, dominated by the promontory of Monte Conero. A landscape to be discovered: natural beauty such as the beach of the Two Sisters (Le Due Sorelle) and the Bay of Portonovo, the protected Mediterranean Park (The Maquis) of the Conero, are complemented by the small fishing villages of Numana, Sirolo and Porto Recanati.
Our white wines are a perfect accompaniment for typical Adriatic fish dishes: you must try it!
A few kilometres away are other small and picturesque towns that you can visit: Osimo and Camerano with their sea grottos, the shrine of Loreto, Castelfidardo, the international birthplace of the accordion where you can see and play the biggest accordion in the world!
